1) Physical installation:
The wireless door sensor consists of two components:
Magnet (small part)
Detector (large part)
As shown in the image below, mount the magnet on the movable part of the door (e.g., the sliding or hinged section) and the detector on the fixed frame.
Ensure that the door sensor remains within Bluetooth range of the Boat Monitor installed on the boat. The effective range is approximately 5 meters, with minimal obstructions between the two devices to maintain strong signal strength.
When the door is closed, the magnet and detector must be aligned on the same plane and positioned no more than 5 mm apart to ensure reliable detection of the closed state.
Install the sensor in a location that allows easy access to the battery compartment for future maintenance or replacement.
2) Pairing the sensor with the Boat Monitor in the mobile app
1) Click "Details"
2) Click "Paired bluetooth devices"
3) Click + (top right corner) and scan QR code on the back side of the magnetic sensor.
4) Scan the QR code on the Door sensor
5) Choose profile: "Door sensor"
6) Wait for pairing operation to finish. Once completed, you should be able to see Door sensors in your Sensors tab in the app.
