Pair the Shore power sensor to the Boat Monitor
- Make sure the Boat Monitor and Shore Power sensor are in close proximity to each other
- Make sure the device subscription allows for at least one more sensor
- Open the mobile app and navigate to boat details -> Paired bluetooth devices screen.
- Press "+" in the upper right corner and scan the QR code on the Shore Power sensor
- When asked to choose a pairing profile, pick one of the following for tracking running time:
- AC running hours
- Genset running hours
- Wait for the pairing process to complete
- The current on/off status and accumulated running time of the device should now be visible in the sensors screen
Technical limitations
Setting the starting value / updating the current value
Is currently not possible for the user. When the sensor is first paired, the starting value is set to 0 and accumulates from there on whenever the appliance is turned on.
Missing accumulated time
There are multiple scenarios when the accumulated time is not being updated. These are:
- Inactive subscription
We do not process data from the Boat Monitor and it's sensors when there is no active subscription - Gaps in data longer than 24 hours
Whenever we have not received data from the sensor for more than 24 hours, we flag that time period as inactive and do not add it towards the running time. This is true even when the appliance was running prior to and right after the larger than 24 hour no-data period. Some scenarios when this can occur include:- The sensor running out of battery
- Sensor was out of range of the Boat Monitor
