We try to detect to detect boat stops and trips automatically, and display it in a convenient, user friendly way.
However, in some cases it doesn't work as expected, and Tracks keep getting added to a Trip even though you are returning to the same spot over and over again.
There are two things to know in such cases:
- Trip will only end automatically if you return to the starting point. If you move your boat to another port, the algorithm won't be able to detect the move and will keep adding Tracks to the last Trip created. To stop this, you need to end the Trip in your home port. After that, a new Trip will start there and will end automatically once your return home.
- You can also set a Home port (base). Once you do that, the algorithm will have an even easier job slicing your Trips and Tracks. Check Home port selection guide for detailed instructions.
