This guide is accompanied with images from web app located at http://web.sentinelmarine.net. In mobile apps, the procedure is similar, just use the pencil button on Android and edit menu on iOs to enter the sensor selection screen.
Local and Bluetooth senors selection
Local sensors are readouts directly wired to the boat monitor device, not including NMEA sensors. Bluetooth sensors come from Bluetooth devices, which are paired to the boat monitor. All of these sensors can be easily selected or de-selected by using tick marks at sensors you wish to either add or remove from monitoring. Once a sensor is de-selected, the alerts for it are also disabled.
NMEA sensors selection
Prerequisites: Before selecting N2K sensors, the following prerequisites have to be met:
- NMEA 2000 network should be switched on. You should see the following indicator in the web app:
- Sensors that you want to select have to be powered up and actively sending data(in most cases engine has to be running to be able to select engine data).
To select a sensor open the “Edit sensors” screen:
You are presented with the sensor group overview:
Opening a sensor group displays all sensors transmitting in this section. You can see all instances and all instrument sources transmitting the values*
*Note: It can take up to 1 minute to update all sensor values. If the sensors that you want to select are not shown immediately, close all sensor groups, and wait up to 60 seconds before reopening them. If the sensors still don't appear (you have recently changed the NMEA 2000 configuration without power cycling the NMEA2000 bus, press the 
button and wait another 60 seconds for network scan to complete.
Select the sensors you want and click Save to continue.
If all sensors are greyed out, you have probably selected all the sensors covered under your current license. You can see the number of sensors available by your license in the top right corner of the sensor selector
